Dharavi is one of the largest slums in Mumbai with a total area of more than 500 Acres. Deodhar Associates along with their consortium partners are working as Architectural, Project Management consultants for the redevelopment of Dharavi Sector V, one of the largest sectors in Dharavi. Conceptually, the zoning is done considering the phase-wise development.

Individual clusters of buildings with large open spaces and amenity areas are planned throughout the sector. Maharashtra Housing and Development Authority is intending to develop this sector with the help of technical support from our consultancy.

We have also tried to create industrial / commercial pockets within the communities so as to generate the job opportunity and income to the existing slum dwellers. We have extensively studied the existing social fabric in the vicinity to derive the design and planning concept.
